3D Model Generation

Generate 3D models from Image Kit items or imported images — including multi-view workflows.

Generate a 3D model (single image)

3D model generation does not require a prompt.

  1. Select an Image Kit item (or any suitable image)
  2. Right-click
  3. Choose Create 3D model

This uses your default polygon count (set in Settings).

Import your own images

You can upload your own images for conversion to 3D:

  • Click Upload File
  • Import JPG/PNG files
  • Right-click → Create 3D model

Polygon Count

Every 3D model is generated at a specific polygon count. More polygons means finer detail; fewer polygons means a lighter, faster-loading mesh.

Default Setting

  1. Open Settings (gear icon, top-right)
  2. Adjust the Polygon Count slider
  3. Range: 40,000 – 1,500,000 polygons (step: 10,000)
  4. Default: 100,000

This applies to all future generations until you change it.

Per-Generation Override (Advanced)

To override the default for a single generation without changing your global setting:

  1. Right-click an image in the File Explorer
  2. Choose Create 3D Model (Advanced)
  3. A dialog appears with a polygon count slider — pick your target
  4. Click Accept to generate

Choosing the Right Count

40k – 100kGame-ready assets, props, quick previews
100k – 300kBalanced detail for most use cases
300k – 1.5mHero assets, close-up renders, high-fidelity models

Higher polygon counts take longer to generate and produce larger files. Start low and increase only if you need more detail.

Via Chat

You can also specify polygon count directly in a prompt:

Create a 3D model from the image file: @path/to/image.png with 200000 polys


Multi-view 3D model generation

Use multi-view when you have a front view plus at least one additional viewpoint.

Template:

Create a 3D model from the images: @path/to/front_view.png and @path/to/back_view.png

Important rules:

  • Must supply a front view AND at least one other view (back/left/right)
  • WorldEngen may infer view direction from prompt or filenames (e.g., image_front.png)
  • More correct viewpoints usually improves results

Common issue: generated "floors"

Some image-to-3D models may include unwanted floor geometry.
